bts in the Sausalito Studio: a picture frame workshop with kate dewitt

I’m been endlessly inspired seeing what creatives and entrepreneurs are bringing to life in The Sausalito Studio, from portrait shoots to creative workshops to fashion campaigns.

If you’re looking for your own space for meetings, events, photo/video shoots, creative projects or occasional private office space, I have one membership spot opening soon. It’s for either two or four days of your choice each month, at a significantly lower rate than one-off rentals. Reach out for details, or you can always rent on Peerspace, too.

Take a peek behind the scenes at a recent workshop with Kate DeWitt, plus follow along over on Instagram at @thesausalitostudio for more projects in the studio.

Local SF interior designer, Kate DeWitt, makes the most lovely wrapped picture frames. Earlier this summer, Kate and I partnered on a wrapped frame workshop in The Sausalito Studio.

If you follow Kate on Instagram, it will come as no surprise all of the stunning elements and special touches she combined in the studio, from colorful speckleware to dreamy florals.

While Kate style the space and prepped guest’s frame stations, I filled the studio kitchenette with a spread of tasty snacks and filled our beverage bins with wine, sparkling waters and chamomile flower ice cubes, always a fun event addition — especially for summer.

Kate brought dozens of beautiful patterns for guests to choose from, and walked everyone through how to make their very own wrapped frame.

Amid excessively digital and dispersed years, it felt extra energizing to get creative and connect with community in-person.

Reach out if you have workshop or event ideas, we’d love to host you into The Sausalito Studio for creative and community events!
